Contract Corporate Communications Assistant (6 months)

Under the direction of the Director of Public Relations, Corporate Communications & Marketing, or designate, assist with the development and distribution of communications information through various media.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist with the creation, development, and design of communication materials including the corporate newsletter, event signage, presentations/reports, digital ads, graphics for websites and social posts, billing inserts, newspaper ads, articles, truck signs, direct mail pieces, magazine ads, trade show signage, corporate newsletter, and information pamphlets.
  • Assist in the creation of content for the website and for posts on social media.
  • Collect and write stories for the corporate newsletter.
  • Create and edit graphic files using photo-editing software.
  • Assist with the development of written materials including reports, press releases etc.
  • Conduct research to determine the demographics for programs, services, and corporate communication pieces.
  • Coordinate materials and information for trade shows, community events, public exhibits and demonstrations.
  • Participate at trade shows and community events including setting up booths, coordinating delivery of material, and communicating objectives of programs to the public.
  • Assist with the creation and updates of content posted on internal and external corporate websites.
  • Distribute the corporate website customer emails to appropriate departments or individuals.
  • Assist with administrative tasks.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Enrolled in or a graduate of a Communications/Media/Public Relations Program or a related field.
  • Experience in: developing written communications, website design and updates, curating social media content, content management systems, and digital marketing.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence Class G and use of personal vehicle.
