This past February, London Hydro employees took part in the Push-Up Challenge, a nationwide event to raise awareness and funds for mental health. Participants are encouraged to complete 2,000 push-ups to represent the estimated 2,000 lives lost to suicide each day worldwide.
Thanks to our employees' incredible teamwork and dedication, they completed 87,537 push-ups over 18 days and raised $11,707 in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Thames Valley. Their efforts placed London Hydro 5th in Ontario and 11th in Canada among challenge participants.
This event was more than just a challenge—it was a chance for London Hydro employees to show what they can accomplish when they come together for an important cause. Our team stepped up, pushing themselves not only to reach personal goals but also to make a positive impact on our community. Whether it was doing push-ups, supporting a teammate, or simply spreading the word, every bit of effort made a difference.
The funds raised will go directly to CMHA Thames Valley, helping support vital mental health services and programs for people in our local community. Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, or cheered our employees on. Your support made a real difference. By working together, we can raise awareness, show support, and make a lasting impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges.
At London Hydro, we’re committed to wellness, community, and making a positive impact. We’re excited to continue supporting health and well-being in the community through more initiatives in the future.
