Customer Service Representative

Full-time positions – London, ON

If you’re a skilled communicator – verbally and in writing – who enjoys dealing with the public, this is an exciting opportunity to join our Contact Centre team at London Hydro.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will work under the direction of the Customer Service Supervisor, or designate, responding to customer inquiries either in person or through the telephone, e-mails or written correspondence.

These positions involve working various shifts, as required.

JOB DUTIES

As part of your responsibilities as a Customer Service Representative, you will:

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills when communicating with

customers regarding billings, payments, payment arrangements, products, repairs, policies and

practices.

  • Maintain and update computerized customer records.
  • Research customer records for skip tracing and metering discussions.
  • Assist customers with online account support
  • Test changes to the Customer Information System as an end user.
  • Document all customer interactions.
  • Sort mail and process returned mail.
  • Promote initiatives, products and programs.
  • Initiate correspondence through modifying existing system letters and reports.
  • Use a personal computer and appropriate software proficiently.
  • Assist in the training of new personnel.
  • Adhere to all Occupational Health & Safety Act rules and regulations, the E&USA rule book,

London Hydro work practices and London Hydro’s Health & Safety Management System.

QUALIFICATIONS

The qualified Customer Service Representatives we seek for our Contact Centre must be able to meet the following requirements:

  • Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Keyboarding speed of 35 w.p.m.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Salary range:  $32.06 per hour to $38.17 per hour. In addition to base salary, this permanent, full-time position offers an attractive benefits package, including a pension plan (OMERS), 17 days’ vacation per year (with a credit for utility experience), and professional development opportunities, all in a positive working environment conducive to individual and team success.
